Of course official Nebraska government websites are the authority on which depictions are correct. The editor who changed it baselessly assumed the Nebraska government was right about the state seal but wrong about the state flag & so changed the flag to use the version of the seal on their website. The stable version for nearly 20 years is both the version found on government websites and the version you'd find...

This flag better represents what is actually produced and flown by official state agencies."

The design of the seal in the version I am reverting is completely different from the actual seal (see the article about the seal for details) and completely different from how it looks in real life. The old revision is correct
