English: The French state does not create a specific group of French professional soldier volunteers in the regular Ukrainian army during the Russo-Ukrainian war since February 2022. The French volunteers are dispersed among different units, including the “International Legion of Territorial Defence of Ukraine”. However, for logistical reasons, they form groups with varying degrees of formality, which enable them to meet their specific needs (communications with their families, with the press, food, accommodation, etc.). “Team Baguette” (or “Task force Baguette”) is one of these groups of professional soldier. These soldiers wear a rondache, or a round patch, on their left sleeve and their regimental badge on their right sleeve when they rest. They may also wear patches on the chest, especially during press interviews. Task Force Baguette is a unit formed within the International Legion specializing in infiltration into enemy zones. The name Task Force Baguette is the one used on their telegram channel, within the legion, they use another name, secret outfit, as do their faces.
