The text of the archival law states:
1) Das Recht zur Benutzung von öffentlichem Archivgut wird nach dem Ablauf der Schutzfrist jeder natürlichen oder juristischen Person ohne Nachweis eines Rechtsanspruchs oder eines rechtlichen Interesses nach Massgabe dieses Artikels gewährleistet.
2) Die Benutzung von öffentlichem Archivgut ist grundsätzlich unentgeltlich, es sei denn, dass über die Bereitstellung von Archivgut und die damit verbundene Auskunft und Beratung hinausgehende Leistungen, wie die Herstellung von Reproduktionen und Abschriften, umfangreichere Rechercheleistungen durch das Archivpersonal oder die Erstattung von gutachterlichen Äusserungen, erbracht werden.
3) Bei der Verwendung von Archivgut für Publikationen, Ausstellungen oder sonstige Veröffentlichungen, dieses mit "Liechtensteinisches Landesarchiv" bzw. "(LI LA)" und der vollständigen Archivsignatur zu kennzeichnen.
Please note that Article 10 of the law states that archival material is subject to a 30 year protection period unless provided by law or it was previously publicly accessible. In the case of documents with personal details, they are protected until 10 years after the death of the individual or 100 years after the year of birth if unknown.


The author of this image from Liechtenstein is unknown, and the image was published at least 70 years ago. It is therefore in the public domain in Liechtenstein by virtue of Art. 34 of the Liechtenstein Copyright Act..
Note that this applies only if a reliable source is cited to indicate that the author is not publicly known; just not knowing who the author is is not enough to qualify the image as public domain. This image may not be in the public domain in countries other than Liechtenstein.
