參數說明

參數	說明
name	官方名稱。
other_name	其他常用名稱。
photo	圖像檔案名稱。對於間歇泉，建議優先選用噴發時的照片。
photo_width	圖像顯示寬度（單位：像素）。
photo_alt	為視障讀者提供的圖像替代文本，詳見WP:ALT。
photo_caption	顯示於圖像下方的圖注。建議註明照片的拍攝年月。
位置相關參數
map	要顯示的位置圖名稱。若需使用靜態圖像，請改用|map_image=。
map_image	靜態地圖圖像的檔案名稱。若需使用位置圖，請改用|map=。
map_relief	顯示地形圖。詳見Template:Location map#地形圖參數。
map_size 或 map_width	地圖圖像的顯示寬度（單位：像素）。
map_alt	地圖圖像的替代文本，參見WP:ALT。
map_caption	顯示於地圖圖像下方的說明文字（可選）。
mark	用於標記點的圖像，預設為Red pog.svg。更多選項詳見Template:Location map。
marker_width	標記點圖像的顯示寬度（單位：像素），預設值為8。
label	顯示於標記點旁的標註文字。
label_position	指定標註文字相對於標記點的方位，有效值為left（左）、right（右）、top（上）、bottom（下）及none（無）。需配合上方的label使用。
coordinates	坐標，使用{{coord}}模板。
coords_ref	通過<ref>...</ref>標籤引用坐標來源。
mapframe	使用{{infobox mapframe}}的地圖框架。

Geographical coordinate method

A mark can be superimposed on one of a set of special map templates. If a valid map name is specified this is the method the template will attempt to use. To display a mark, the geographic coordinates must be specified using the {{Coord}} template. See the documentation for {{Location map}}. All of the names begin with the words "Location map" followed by the area covered. The value you need to specify is the area name. The map template for the for Alberta, Canada is Module:Location map/data/Canada Alberta. In this case specify map=Canada Alberta or, in this case, map=Alberta. The following example does not produce output that is optimum for use with the geysers of Yellowstone but demonstrates the method.
