臨時賬號功能現已推出
[編輯]維基媒體專案允許任何人進行編輯，無論是否建立帳號。在過去，未登入貢獻者的編輯會被歸屬至其IP位址下。由於IP位址包含敏感資訊，可能會威脅到透過該地址連接的用戶的私隱和安全，為了減輕用戶私隱泄露的風險，維基媒體基金會決定引入臨時帳號。只有部分有反破壞管理需求的用戶可以訪問臨時帳號IP位址數據（即臨時帳號IP檢視者、管理員等）。
臨時帳號的名稱形如~2025-1234567（由英文半形波浪號、當前年份、一個自動生成的5-7位數字構成），用戶不能選擇或變更其臨時帳號的名稱。臨時帳號會為未登入的編者自動建立，有效期為90天，其不能登入，也沒有密碼。自建立日期起經過90天之後，該臨時帳號將自動過期，無法使用且無法取得討論頁訊息，後續編輯會分配給新的臨時帳號。舊帳號將被停止使用，無法保留或登入。臨時帳號透過瀏覽器的Cookie，將同一裝置和瀏覽器在不同IP位址下進行的編輯歸屬於同一臨時帳號，與臨時帳號相關聯的IP位址將被隱藏。
如果您符合「臨時帳號IP檢視者」的資格要求，包括：已加入至少6個月且至少編輯300次；於反破壞中活躍，並且已有至少500次編輯，或是現任巡查員、回退員、傀儡調查助理、過濾器助理、過濾器編輯者。您可前往Wikipedia:權限申請/申請臨時帳號IP檢視權提出請求。

上期內容勘誤：上期《維基百科社群簡報》的錯誤修正。
- 2025年維基媒體基金會理事會選舉選出的新理事並非Wojciech Pędzich及James Alexander（這兩位應爲落選者），而是Bobby Shabangu及Michał Buczyński。（存檔修訂記錄）
仲裁動態：仲裁委員會的重要決議。
政策重要變動：重要的方針指引修訂案，由社群討論通過。
- 《申請成為管理人員》：規範管理員集中選舉的提名流程，現在提名以申請頁的創建時間爲準，並建議提名人在互助客棧討論串的「報備區」通知社羣；原習用的提名區不再使用。（討論記錄）
- 《命名常規·音樂》：不再優先強調「使用中文」，中文譯名需要符合「常用名稱」。（討論記錄）

- 臺灣分會和斯洛伐克用戶組在中文維基導遊和斯洛伐克語維基百科舉辦臺灣-斯洛伐克編輯松，時間爲12月1日至次年1月15日。
- Android和iOS的維基百科手機應用（app）為用戶提供2025年的年度報告。（專案頁面）
- 抽象維基百科（Abstract Wikipedia，暫譯）命名徵選第二輪投票落下帷幕，最終「Abstract Wikipedia」以100票勝出，第二名為「Wikigenerator」（91票）。此專案的名稱正式定為「Abstract Wikipedia」。根據中文社群先前共識，此名稱的暫譯名為「抽象維基百科」。（Wikifunctions狀態更新）。
- 姊妹專案工作組關於維基孢子（Wikispore，暫譯）和維基新聞的諮詢結果出爐。工作組得出的結論是：不應立即變更維基孢子的現行技術架構；應歸檔維基新聞的所有語言版本。
- Wikimedia Enterprise公佈其2025年度報告。報告着重探討維基媒體如何通過該機構完成轉變並保持活力。
